Jetrion To Launch New Inkjet Products And Technology At Print '05

Press release from the issuing company

ANN ARBOR, MI – June 29, 2005 – Jetrion LLC, a leading supplier of inkjet printers, inks and custom systems, will introduce several advanced industrial inkjet products and services for printing, converting, packaging, wide format, and direct mail applications at Print '05, Booth #857. The company also expects to make major announcements concerning new strategic alliances during the show. "In just three years, Jetrion has posted a string of important technology accomplishments for the inkjet industry," noted Dr. Ken Stack, president of Jetrion. "Our capabilities and technology are continuing to expand as we bring real offerings to the marketplace. During Print '05, visitors to the Jetrion booth will see the newest additions to our growing ink and hardware lines, and will get their first look at some of the advances we're working on now that have the potential to open entirely new business opportunities in inkjet applications." New Low-VOC Inks Jetrion will formally launch the industry's first low-VOC solvent inks for VideoJet and Domino continuous inkjet printers at Print '05. The new Jetrion low-VOC inks allow commercial and mailing printers to reduce VOC levels within their plants, or give them the flexibility to expand operations and still remain within VOC emissions limits. Developed to provide high reliability and performance, the new low-VOC solvent CIJ inks are being positioned at a price point typically lower than the printer OEMs. New Wide-Format Solvent Inks For Xaar-based Printers Jetrion is introducing a new set of wide-format solvent inks for Xaar-based printers used in the production of outdoor products such billboards, exterior signage, bus and building wraps. Providing a wide color gamut with exceptional reliability at lower cost, the new high-durability inks print on a broad range of vinyl and paper substrates used in outdoor environments. The new wide-format solvent inks combine the lightfastness of automotive-grade pigments with low-HAPS (hazardous air pollutants) technology initially introduced in Jetrion's earlier wide-format ink formulas. The new inks will be demonstrated on a wide-format printer equipped with Xaar heads at the Jetrion booth. UV3000 Ink Program Using its advanced 3000 series UV inkjet printers, Jetrion will demonstrate applications of its unique UV3000 Ink Program designed to provide customers with job- and substrate-specific UV inkjet solutions. The program focuses the company's industry-leading UV ink technology, research resources and extensive, field-proven inkjet production experience on providing custom-developed UV inkjet inks for specific applications on virtually every type of film, foil or paper substrate. Specialty Applications Throughout the show, Jetrion will demonstrate the breadth of new market opportunities in specialty UV inkjet applications. Going beyond the traditional inkjet applications such as mailing and addressing, the new applications include everything where personalization or variable printing is required, such as promotional items and plastic cards used in affinity programs. New Full-Color, Inkjet-Printed Metal Technology Jetrion will display and discuss the world's first ultra high-resolution full-color inkjet imaging on a metal substrate used to manufacture cans for beverages and other consumer products. Developed in conjunction with Crown Holdings, Inc. a leading supplier of packaging products to consumer marketing companies worldwide, the innovative application uses Jetrion's advanced, single-pass drop-on-demand inkjet system and proprietary flexible and formable color inkjet inks. New Alliances In line with its fast-growing activity in the wide-format market, Jetrion intends to announce a new relationship with a leading wide-format OEM printer manufacturer. The company also plans to announce an alliance with a leading national distributor for the company's inks and printers to expand sales in commercial printing and packaging.
