IKON Appoints Lyle Wells Area Vice President, Iowa/Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS--June 21, 2005-- IKON Office Solutions, the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services, today announced the appointment of Lyle Wells, 40, to head its sales and service operations in the Iowa/Minnesota area as area vice president. Operating out of the area's Minneapolis headquarters, Wells will lead more than 600 sales and services professionals in nine offices across the two states. Prior to his current assignment, Wells served as area vice president for IKON's Wisconsin/Iowa marketplace for two years, where he grew revenue by double digits and fostered a strong focus on professional services and on-site managed services. "Lyle Wells has demonstrated strong leadership and improved our business in our Wisconsin/Iowa marketplace," said Brian D. Edwards, senior vice president of North American sales for IKON Office Solutions. "In addition to his IKON experience, Lyle brings more than 15 years of successful technology sales and marketing leadership experience to this position. These experiences, coupled with his sharp focus on customer satisfaction and employee development, will help IKON achieve our goal of bringing document workflow efficiency to more customers in Minnesota and Iowa." Wells began his career with Xerox Corporation as an account manager, receiving numerous top sales awards. In 1995, he was promoted to sales manager, where he managed a team of more than 100 sales and service professionals that grew revenue and increased customer satisfaction by double digits. Wells was promoted in 1999 to vice president and general manager of the on-site managed services business in the Carolinas, where he provided leadership to more than 300 employees. In that role, he grew revenue and net profits in the double digits, while also significantly increasing employee and customer satisfaction ratings. Following 12 years at Xerox, Wells served in senior sales and marketing leadership positions at two technology companies: Telenisus Corporation and Expand Beyond Software.
