Agfa Releases :Grand Sherpa Universal AM

Munich, Germany – FESPA – 31 May 2005 – Agfa announced today the release of a new addition to its :Sherpa line of inkjet printing systems, the :Grand Sherpa Universal AM. It is twice as fast as the current :Grand Sherpa Universal system thanks to the use of Agfa's new mild solvent inks. Available in 65-and 90-inch widths (165-229 cm), :Grand Sherpa Universal AM systems have been optimised for use with Agfa's new inks, which provide vivid colours, fast drying times, improved scratch resistance and suitability for a wide range of uncoated media. This results in fast, high-quality throughput for a range of large-format applications, with speeds from 6m2 per hour for high-resolution sign printing, through 40 m2 per hour for billboard production.
