CIP4 to Finalize 1.3 JDF Specifications

Mortsel, Belgium – 23 May 2005 – Agfa announced today that the CIP4 Organisation will be meeting 23-26 May at Agfa's Headquarters in Mortsel, Belgium to finalise 1.3 JDF specifications. CIP4, of which Agfa is a founding member, is a global organisation of graphic communications suppliers and technology experts which together strive to create standards for interoperability within the graphic arts industry. CIP4's different JDF workgroups are separated into specific topics such as prepress and finishing. These groups meet several times throughout the year to discuss proposals. The final meeting, attended by the chairs of each workgroup, will finalise the 1.3 JDF specifications.
