May 19, 2005 -- “Inkjet is the new frontier in printing technology,” said Alan Brynjolfsson, a partner in Jetplate Systems, describing his company’s plans for live demonstrations of its latest CTP systems at September’s huge PRINT 05 & CONVERTINGSM 05 in Chicago. JetPlate, in booth 6724, will feature “complete systems from $29,900, including platemaker, processor, proofer, RIP, and computer.” This system, JetPlate’s materials trumpet, earned a “MUST SEE ‘EM” award at last year’s GRAPH EXPO and CONVERTING EXPO, and joins a line of new inkjet CTP systems making their debuts at PRINT 05 & CONVERTING 05. “JetPlate will be printing live press sheets in our booth to showcase the new level of quality,” said Brynjolfsson. “At the JetPlate Systems booth you can witness the full spectrum of inkjet technology from ICC profiled color match proofs to inkjet CTP systems. We’ll be using the JetPlate CTP system to print live on the show floor to showcase the remarkable quality of affordable CTP.” JetPlate Systems’ 1,200 square foot display is on Level Three of the North Hall of McCormick Place, one of three giant show floors dedicated to the world’s largest commercial, package printing, and converting exhibition of 2005. PRINT 05 & CONVERTING 05 takes place September 9-15 at the McCormick Place Complex in Chicago.
