"By utilizing NewspaperDirect's ND PrintStation print-on-demand solution, Canon imageRUNNER MFP devices make possible convenient, 'on-demand' delivery of valuable news resources for corporations, as well as other environments with limited access to paper subscriptions," said Greg Ryan, Senior Manager, Industry and Alliance Marketing for Canon U.S.A., Inc. "This flexible and unique solution represents a powerful and efficient information management and distribution system for Canon imageRUNNER device customers." "With this move, NewspaperDirect is bringing companies a new way to get their same-day newspaper from anywhere in the world -- by printing them in their office. We also recognize that by partnering with Canon, we can add significant value to the sales efforts of the Canon dealer channel," said Richard K. Miller, NewspaperDirect's Vice President, Sales & Marketing. The NDPrintstation solution has been successfully tested in conjunction with the Canon imageRUNNER C6800 MFP and the imagePASS D1 server by VeriTest, a leading provider of independent outsourced testing services. Accordingly, the solution has been designated by Canon U.S.A. as "Canon Compatible" under Canon U.S.A.'s Alliance Program. A report summarizing the test plan and results has been published online at http://www.veritest.com/canon as a public validation of third party solution compatibility with Canon imageRUNNER, imagePASS and related systems products. Currently, NewspaperDirect has more than 400 global installations of the NDPrintstation system in hotels, newspaper distributors, retail outlets, cruise ships, airports, libraries, educational institutions, corporate offices and private yachts.
