Open Text To Highlight ECM Solutions at 2005 AIIM ON DEMAND

Press release from the issuing company

AIIM ON DEMAND 2005 CHICAGO--May 11, 2005-- Open Text Corporation, the world's largest provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, said today it will showcase new Livelink ECM Solutions for improved productivity and compliance management at the AIIM ON DEMAND Conference and Exposition at the Philadelphia Convention Center from May 17-19, in Booth #512. AIIM is the largest enterprise content and document management conference and exposition showcasing the technologies to capture, manage, share, and store documents and digital content to support business processes and comply with governmental regulations. ON DEMAND, the digital printing and automated production event, is the largest conference and exposition dedicated to the technologies that create, personalize, manage, print and deliver content. At this year's AIIM ON DEMAND, Open Text Chairman and CEO Tom Jenkins will introduce his latest book ECM Solutions: What You Need to Know. The book details how ECM Solutions have been applied in specific departments and industries, providing real-world case studies as examples. The book is part of a series defining the ECM software segment and follows Jenkins' ECM Technology: What You Need to Know, which looks at the technology components that make up ECM -- 40,000 copies are in circulation internationally. A final book in the series, slated for release later this year, will cover best-practice methods for successful ECM deployments. The books are designed to give non-technical executives a better understanding of the business benefits of ECM. Open Text will also be demonstrating key Livelink ECM Solutions at the event, including e-mail management, records management, compliance management, collaboration software, and its ECM offerings for SAP solutions. Open Text's Livelink ECM Solutions are based upon its Livelink ECM Platform, a secure, unified and integrated framework that combines a shared content repository with user, content, and process services in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). "For attendees at AIIM ON DEMAND, the focus continues to be the growing demands of managing information to improve operations, reduce costs and comply with tough regulations," said John Shackleton, President of Open Text. "It is the perfect opportunity to showcase what we have built over the last year: The industry's most comprehensive range of ECM Solutions, delivered over a unified platform that enables a true ECM strategy to address growing needs. We will be showing customers the powerful ways ECM pays off -- everything from the compliance benefits of effective document retention for transactions; to reduced legal discovery costs with e-mail management; to improved knowledge sharing with state-of-the-art collaboration." The company will also be participating in a number of key industry events during the show. Executive Vice President of Marketing Bill Forquer will take part in an ECM industry vendors' panel May 17 from 1:45 -2:45 p.m. Open Text technical experts will also be participating in educational sessions.
