Kodak Names Garron Helman Managing Director, Greater Asia Region

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 10- Kodak's Graphic Communications Group (GCG) today announced that Garron Helman, currently Managing Director of Creo Asia Pacific and Corporate Vice President, Creo Inc., will be appointed Managing Director, Sales and Operations, for GCG's Greater Asia Region (GAR). Helman's appointment will be effective with the completion of the Creo acquisition, anticipated for later this year. As Managing Director, Helman will be responsible for optimizing all GCG product and solutions offerings and for ensuring strong results and profitability in the region. He will lead integration activities across the region, in cooperation with the leadership teams of GCG's operating units, Graphic Solutions & Services (GS&S) and Transaction & Industrial Solutions (T&IS). Helman will be responsible for day-to-day operations within the region, including sales of prepress and digital products, along with customer service, product support, supply chain management and tactical product marketing. He also will support the sales of transaction and industrial products working with T&IS. In addition, Helman will have responsibility for regional alignment of equipment service and ensuring overall customer satisfaction, working with the Global Service organization, led by Dolores Traxler, General Manager. Helman will report to Andrew Copley, Managing Director and Vice President, Global Sales and Operations, Graphic Communications Group. Helman joined Creo in June 1994 and was appointed managing director of Creo Asia Pacific in 2002. Prior to that, he served as general manager, Australia and New Zealand, where he established Creo's presence in the market and grew the division to be the largest prepress supplier in the region. Helman holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.ESc.in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A. from the University of British Columbia. Helman's appointment completes the regional Managing Director structure for the Graphic Communications Group. Kodak had previously announced the appointments of Kevin Joyce, Managing Director, Sales and Operations, United States & Canada (US&C) region; Israel Sandler, Managing Director, Sales and Operations, Europe, Africa and Middle East region (EAMER). Sandler's appointment will be effective with the completion of the Creo acquisition. Dr. Kiyoo Shimada, Managing Director, Sales and Operations, Japan; and Gustavo Oviedo, Managing Director, Sales and Operations, Latin American Region (LAR).
