EFI Integrates SendMe Software with Xerox WorkCentre Pro Multifunction Systems

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--May 9, 2005-- EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, today announced the new integration of SendMe, the company's document capture and distribution solution, with Xerox WorkCentre Pro advanced multifunction systems. The joint solution brings superior productivity and greater return on investment to office environments, such as those in healthcare, insurance, financial, retail and legal markets. Using SendMe and Xerox WorkCentre Pro systems, people can now scan a document, preview it using EFI's scanning kiosk and with the push of a button, transform critical hardcopy information into digital files that can be sent anywhere in the world, instantly. Customers can simultaneously send the documents to any number of e-mail addresses, fax machines/servers, or printers, or file them on a desktop, network or document management systems, such as Xerox DocuShare(TM) enterprise content management (ECM) software. Combining SendMe with a document management system enhances productivity by accelerating and simplifying the inclusion of meta-data, giving the newly scanned document context within the corporation's existing document workflow. SendMe users scan pages in full color, grayscale or black-and-white, and preview the digital files as thumbnails or full-page images in PDF, TIFF or JPEG format using a large, intuitive touch-screen interface. Documents are immediately available via e-mail, ftp, online repository or through a fax server. Additionally, the delivery capabilities of SendMe offer significant cost savings compared to the traditional delivery methods, overnight service, faxing, and postal mail.
