Ricoh Aligns With IPRO Tech to Streamline Document Management Process for Litigation Industry

Press release from the issuing company

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., April 21 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, announced today that IPRO Tech, an electronic document management software provider, has joined Ricoh's Alliance Program. Ricoh and IPRO Tech offer the IPRO Copy+ solution to help legal professionals address document management challenges such as efficient access to and organization of evidentiary materials. Ricoh's Alliance Program consists of an exclusive group of consultants, systems integrators and software companies that work with Ricoh to provide effective software, digital imaging and document management solutions. The Alliance program was created for companies whose products and technologies can integrate with and support the competitive stance of Ricoh products and solutions in the marketplace. "Through our alliance with IPRO Tech, Ricoh continues to streamline the document management process and reduce inefficiencies for target vertical markets such as the legal industry," said Wayne Mize, vice president of solutions marketing division for Ricoh Corporation. "By utilizing each other's expertise, we have created a tangible, cost-effective solution that is able to increase bottom-line results for attorneys." In the fast-paced litigation industry, it is imperative for law firms and legal services bureaus to be able to access and utilize files in a quick and organized manner. As a requirement, many courts are now requiring both paper and electronic copies of evidence. IPRO Copy+ is able to address these needs by allowing users to copy, image, OCR, print, and export images of legal documents in one easy step. Additionally, IPRO Copy+ helps in the Bates numbering process, which is used in the litigation industry to help reference evidentiary documents. As an example, it is able to simplify a legal copy job known as Copy-Label-Copy, a complex Bates numbering task, saving end users both time and money. The IPRO Copy+ solution, which runs on a standard PC and works with Ricoh's multifunction copiers (MFPs), is inexpensive to implement, cost effective to use, and can be easily integrated into the existing business processes of legal firms or litigation service bureaus. This solution allows users to manage the copy process via a touch screen and streamlined user interface, located next to the multifunction digital copiers. User training is minimized due to the intuitiveness of IPRO Copy+ and its ability to mimic the copy process. The Ricoh multifunction digital copiers that currently support IPRO Copy+ include the Aficio 2090, Aficio 2105, Aficio 1060, Aficio 1075, Aficio 2022SP, Aficio 2027SP, Aficio 2035SP, Aficio 2045eSP, Aficio 2051, Aficio 2060SP and the Aficio 2075SP. Another way that IPRO Copy+ is able to save end users time and money is by allowing document images to be reviewed and remedied prior to printing, eliminating the need for costly revisions. Additional standout features of IPRO Copy+ include its ability to utilize Ricoh color scanning capabilities, create customized Bates number formats, create TIFF and PDF image file, rotate and reorder pages prior to printing and create Manifest reports (index of document collection) and Job Cost reports (statistics on job processing) to better manage work and end users. Ricoh's Alliance Program encourages leading software companies, content management systems integrators and consulting companies to work together with Ricoh to provide innovative and effective software, digital imaging and content/document management solutions for the business community. There are two divisions within the Alliance Program, the Strategic Alliance Program and the Technology Alliance Program. IPRO has joined the Technology Alliance Program, which is comprised of third party software companies who specialize in niche solution offerings that complement Ricoh's hardware and software technologies.
