DocuSheeter iG Roll Feed For Xerox iGen3 Now Available

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, MA (April 13, 2005) - Lasermax Roll Systems announces general availability for a new model of its DocuSheeter line of roll feed systems for cut sheet printers. The DocuSheeter iG, jointly developed by Xerox Corporation and Lasermax Roll Systems, significantly reduces paper cost and increases productivity on Xerox's iGen3 Digital Production Press. DocuSheeter iG consists of an unwinder, cutter, and transport. The unwinder feeds 50" diameter rolls to the cutter module; single sheets are then fed on demand to the iGen3. The large rolls run for 15 hours or more before depleting. The full range of iGen3-supported stocks can be fed from the DocuSheeter iG. Bond, book, and cover stocks, in a broad basis weight range, all are available in roll form. Any of these papers that deviate from standard commodity reams, such as lighter or heavier weights, odd sizes, or coated papers, are especially cost-effective in roll form, with savings up to 30%. A print registration option allows for the feeding of pre-printed sheets from rolls. "Taking labor out of the process is a key element of success in the short run, fast turnaround world of digital color printing," says Ellen MacLeod, iGen3 product manager, Xerox Production Systems Group. "The DocuSheeter iG with the iGen3 press delivers on Xerox's strategy to help customers do more with less." The Lasermax Roll Systems DocuSheeter iG is marketed and sold in North America by Xerox Special Information Systems. Outside North America, the DocuSheeter iG is available through the Lasermax Roll Systems network of dealers. Lasermax Roll Systems is the world's largest manufacturer of automated paper handling, monitoring, converting, and finishing equipment for high-speed electronic and digital printing. Its products are sold and serviced in over 50 countries.
