EFI Unveils Next Generation of Logic MIS Software

Press release from the issuing company

Miami – June 13, 2005 – EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, unveiled the next version of its Logic SQL print management software at Connect 2005, the printing industry's largest user conference taking place through June 15th. Logic SQL version 21.0 will offer significant customization along with enhancements to reporting, accounting and purchasing. EFI Logic SQL combines end-to-end integration of the print production process with a powerful set of data collection tools, with applications covering every business function from estimating to billing, order entry to shipping, purchasing, inventory control, finished goods, accounting and more. Version 21.0 is the first Logic release to include robust customization capabilities that provide new functionality and value within the Logic foundation software. These include: improved access to database tables, the ability to create custom forms, the ability to load custom reports into the Logic menu system, and the use of XML imports to bring data into the Logic database. It also includes a new report queue for executing multiple reports with a single request and the ability to save report settings for quick execution. The accounting and purchasing modules have been updated to enable budget imports from Excel and improvements in the PO export process. Logic has also been integrated to Microsoft FRx financial report writing software to provide a high-level of reporting functionality and flexibility. In addition, Logic customers using PrinterSite Fulfillment will have integrated credit card processing. PrinterSite Fulfillment is EFI's web-based, client-facing module that helps printers streamline inventory management and offer value-added online fulfillment ordering services to customers. Said Maureen Sheldon, EFI Logic product manager, “Connect has always been the perfect venue for unveiling new versions of our management systems where our Logic customers get to test-drive the next release. Logic continues to set the standard for enhancements and features that not only streamline business management for our customers but enable them to realize greater profitability.” Version 21.0 is expected to ship in Q3.
