e-Integrity Utilizes Pageflex .EDIT to Reduce Marketing Costs and Streamline Workflows

Press release from the issuing company

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--June 13, 2005-- Pageflex, the leading provider of Web-to-print technology, and e-Integrity (www.eintegrity-usa.com), the technology division of Integrity Graphics Inc., one of New England's premier graphics communications companies, today announced the successful launch of a custom collateral development portal for a Fortune 100 insurance company that is one of the top five writers of property casualty insurance. The portal, which first went live in February 2005, utilizes e-Integrity's PrintHub suite of marketing automation tools integrated with interactive document customization capabilities powered by Pageflex .EDIT(TM). In the first three months of use, the portal has virtually eliminated last-minute text and design changes and prepress charges resulting in an annualized savings of $30,000. E-Integrity hosts the portal, which is used to produce highly-customized brochures, envelope stuffers, and posters promoting insurance products to employees and members at corporations, credit unions, universities, and associations. Since launching the system in February 2005 more than one million print pieces have been ordered. The insurance company has seen development time for collateral creation and approval reduced by a minimum of 67% and by as much as 83%. Showing prospects customized printed collateral during an initial sales call also has greatly reduced the length of sales cycles. At the online portal, marketing staff select a document template, a customer account, and which disclaimer statements should be printed on the piece. An online preview generated by .EDIT shows this content in the template. The PrintHub system can track details such as how the account name should read in headline versus body copy and the PMS color requirements of the logo. An online administrative interface makes it easy for new account information to be added. Currently more than 300 accounts are set up in the system. ".EDIT is essentially an online desktop publishing program. The marketing staff has the freedom to change fonts, colors, and the layout within predetermined limits, in addition to changing the text and image content of a document all within their Web browser," says Bill Nicholson, director of client services at e-Integrity. "By accessing this capability online through PrintHub they can work on collateral anytime, from wherever they happen to have an Internet connection." For Integrity Graphics, the process of printing the collateral has become automated and hands off. The system handles all order details, including gathering work order numbers, quantity, shipping, and billing information and generating and sending high-resolution files to the printer as users place online orders. "When we decided to offer Web-based document customization services, we surveyed the marketplace for the 'shrink-wrapped' software that would best meet our business goals and our customer's needs. We also needed a technology that could be easily extended as needed, and which would grow with the company. After an exhaustive three-month search, we selected .EDIT from Pageflex," recalls Ron Cagenello, Ph.D., chief technology officer at e-Integrity. An additional key factor in choosing .EDIT was the flexibility of the .EDIT interface, which enables e-Integrity to define the look and feel of the editing interface within the PrintHub application, paired with its robust backend customization capabilities. "Pageflex .EDIT gives us power and flexibility as developers in terms of what we offer our clients, while giving our clients as much control as they want in the editing process," explains Cagenello. e-Integrity provides similar PrintHub services to additional companies, including PerkinElmer and Sotheby's International Realty. Plans are underway to introduce personalized collateral capabilities with PrintHub and Integrity Graphics' NexPress 2100 digital press, as well as a print-on-demand portal site for the general public for production of personal items such as stationery and invitations. "e-Integrity is in the forefront of enabling marketers to use Web-to-print technologies to achieve faster and better results with fewer resources," says Anna Chagnon, Pageflex CEO. "By integrating Pageflex .EDIT as a core component of their PrintHub application, e-Integrity has made Web-to-print a natural successor to desktop publishing for their clients. We are extremely pleased with the bottom-line results e-Integrity's clients are achieving by using this integrated system."
