Yupo Launches Specialized UV Printable Grade

Press release from the issuing company

CHESAPEAKE, VA (June 10, 2005) – Yupo Corporation America, the largest manufacturer of synthetic papers in the Western Hemisphere, introduces a UV printable grade for commercial printing, converting, and labeling applications: YUPO FPR 200.  The new product is specifically engineered for UV hybrid, offset and flexo printing applications. UV printing has become increasingly popular due to its high gloss, smooth, uniform surface and excellent scuff and chemical resistance. “The print quality produced with UV is exceptional,” says Paul Mitcham, Yupo Corporation's National Marketing Manager.  “Brilliant color reproduction, durability and super smooth surface can now be easily obtained with YUPO FPR 200.”  Previously, YUPO printed using UV inks required a primer coating before applying the inks, however this new grade can be UV printed without a primer.  This improves efficiency and reduces the expense of UV print runs on YUPO.  “With this new grade printers can increase pressroom productivity while delivering the consistent and brilliant results graphic designers and brand owners demand from UV printing applications,” says Mitcham.   UV printing applications on YUPO FPR 200 are extremely durable with no marking or streaking. Commercial printers gain the high-end, lustrous look produced by UV printing inks with the production benefits of a one-step process. In addition to its new UV printable grade, Yupo Corporation America manufactures a broad range of synthetic papers for the technical paper and commercial printing industries. YUPO synthetic papers provide exceptional print quality, uniform coating surface and reliable convertibility. YUPO is also 100% recyclable.
