Kodak Graphic Communications Group Appoints Leadership Team for Graphic Solutions & Services Unit

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – April 12 – Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group (GCG) today announced the senior leadership team for its Graphic Solutions & Services unit, accelerating its integration activities and building its integrated sales and service organizations. “With the completion of the Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) transaction, KPG is now part of Kodak. We are moving quickly to integrate our businesses and provide customers with the broadest solutions portfolio in the industry,” said James Langley, President, Graphic Communications Group, and Senior Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. “Our goal is to continue to drive momentum for each of our businesses, while we combine offerings and develop integrated solutions to meet the demands of our customers. “An announcement on the leadership team for the Transaction & Industrial Solutions unit (T&IS), led by Homi Shamir, will follow as the team finalizes its assessment of resources and capabilities.” The Graphic Solutions & Services (GS&S) unit, led by Jeff Jacobson, President, GS&S, and Chief Operating Officer, GCG, consists of three strategic product groups (SPGs) – Workflow & Prepress, Digital Printing and Consumables. The leadership team is as follows: •Judi Hess, currently President, Creo Inc., will be appointed General Manager and Vice President, Workflow & Prepress. Hess will be responsible for a range of product offerings including software and hardware for computer-to-plate, workflow solutions, storage, ink jet proofing and digital halftone equipment. Hess joined Creo in 1995 and has held a number of general management positions. Hess’s appointment will be effective with the completion of the Creo acquisition, anticipated for later this year. •Venkat Purushotham is named General Manager and Vice President, Digital Printing, with responsibility for developing and marketing digital production printing solutions and related materials including electrophotography and direct imaging presses, publishing services and device controls. Purushotham was President and CEO of NexPress Solutions, Inc., a position he has held since 1999. •Doug Edwards is named General Manager and Vice President, Consumables. He is responsible for growing Kodak’s leadership position in the core consumables business, including plates, film, halftone proofing media and chemistry. Edwards was previously Vice President of Research & Development for KPG. •Andrew Copley is named Managing Director and Vice President, Global Sales and Operations. He will lead the global sales regions and the overall integration in support of GCG’s strategy to become the premier global provider of integrated solutions to the industry. Copley joins the GS&S leadership team from KPG, where he was President of the Americas region. He has played a key role in integrating KPG's prepress and digital solutions strategy internationally. All of the above will report to Jacobson, in his role as President, Graphic Solutions & Services. “We are excited about the opportunities ahead for the organization and our customers,” said Jacobson. “The leaders we’ve assembled will drive successful integration of GCG’s business and create a dynamic organization designed to meet customer needs today and in the future.” Graphic Communications Group Functional Leaders In addition to the GS&S leadership, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group also announced the following senior operational leaders: •Dolores Traxler is appointed General Manager and Vice President, Global Services. She will lead service for all equipment products within the GCG portfolio, as well as service of other manufacturers’ equipment. The service team will participate as an integral part of the regions and the SPGs to insure alignment in operational excellence and overall customer satisfaction. Traxler was previously the General Manager and Vice President, Document Products & Services for Kodak. She will report to Jacobson. •John Robinson is named General Manager and Vice President, Global Manufacturing and Supply. He is responsible for assuring that manufacturing process, delivery, inventory and capacity planning for GCG are aligned to meet customer expectations. Robinson also will integrate, manage and develop best practices across GS&S manufacturing units to ensure streamlined processes, efficient supply chain, six-sigma quality and other lean manufacturing initiatives. Robinson reports jointly to Langley and Jacobson.
