Press release from the issuing company

Ridgefield Park, NJ – March 31, 2005 – Typecraft Press (Pittsburgh, PA) has become the one-hundredth user of Agfa’s :Salient, the industry leading enterprise computing solution. :Salient combines tightly-integrated network hardware with cutting-edge workflow to help make printing environments more productive. Typecraft Press, a print shop featuring Electronic Prepress, Camera and Platemaking, Web Press, Sheet Press, Bindery and Shipping and Receiving services, recently decided to go with Agfa’s :Salient system and upgrade its workflow from :Apogee Series 2 to :ApogeeX. Downtime costs printers tens of thousands of dollars every year. :Salient users enjoy :Salient’s proven reliability and stable engineering. Some have found that system downtime has become a thing of the past. They are pleased that they can focus on the business issues at hand, rather than get slowed down with routine system problems. “We needed to address the speed of our network, as our cycle times are critical,” said Ed Major, president, Typecraft Press. “Our customers want their :Sherpa proofs in the same day and our :Salient system will give us the boost in speed that is necessary to help us to make that possible.”
