Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, March 31 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announced today that it has become a sponsor of the Professional Digital Imaging Association (PDIA), an independent, member-directed organization. Through its sponsorship, Oce will help the PDIA support its mission to help professional and amateur photographer and graphic designer members get more use and satisfaction from their digital printing and finishing equipment. Oce has been manufacturing and marketing a broad range of inkjet media for more than a decade. The company specializes in providing a range of high performance, photorealistic imaging materials suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. "Oce is a progressive digital imaging media manufacturer that is interested in understanding and supporting the needs of professional photographers as they adopt digital printing technologies," said Dan Halkyard, Director of Marketing for Oce Imaging Supplies. "We feel the PDIA's mission to support photographers' use and education of digital technologies is an excellent fit, and we are proud to be associated with this organization." Media Offerings Ideal for Digital Art Oce's universal PhotoPerfect Plus photopapers feature a bright white base for a wide color gamut and are fast-drying for immediate handling after printing. The 7.6 mil Glossy (GIPPLS7) or Satin (SIPPLS7) finishes offer an excellent ability to handle heavy ink loads with no soak-through or cockling. These papers have a unique, hybrid coating that enable them to be used with either thermal or piezo printing technologies and dye or pigmented inks. Oce GIPPLS7 and SIPPLS7 also produce exceptional results with Epson Ultra Chrome inks and are compatible with either hot or cold overlaminates. Oce PrintPerfect matte finish photopaper (AMPP07) bridges the gap between coated matte paper and photo paper, and accepts an ink load of up to 400 percent without causing ink strike-through or paper cockling. It features a heavyweight, bright white base and offers exceptional receptivity for either hot or cold overlaminates. This media is designed for use with most dye-based or pigmented inks.
