Conlin's Copy Center Increases Short-Run Color Business with Xerox iGen3 Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., and ROCHESTER, N.Y.--March 31, 2005-- Conlin's Copy Center has installed a Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press to grow its short-run color printing business and expand the company's services for customers in the advertising, legal, marketing communications and real estate industries. A family owned and operated full-service digital print and copy center with more than 70 employees, Conlin's provides services for a range of clients from walk-up customers to major corporations. It uses the Xerox iGen3 press to produce postcards, brochures, promotional pieces, manuals, booklets and more. The company said that the Xerox iGen3 was the only digital press on the market that had the reliability and flexibility to meet the needs of its customers. "Conlin's does not say 'no' to a customer request, so we needed a machine that would help us deliver on that promise," said Bill Conlin, president, Conlin's Copy Center. "The iGen3 press allows us to produce a wider variety of applications faster and with higher quality than our competition." According to Conlin, investing in the right equipment is only part of the company's formula for success. Family pride, close attention to detail and streamlined workflow processes also help keep the copy center running smoothly and efficiently. To drive its iGen3 press and make it easier to integrate into the shop's existing workflow, Conlin's uses a Xerox FreeFlow(TM) DocuSP print controller as well as an EFI Fiery server -- workstations that process print files and run the printer. DocuSP enables the copy center's operators to run jobs on multiple printers from one interface, reducing costs and maximizing productivity. Since the company was founded 25 years ago, it has looked to Xerox for print technology that drives its business forward. Conlin's started its first copy center with a Xerox 6500 color copier and now has three locations serving southeastern Pennsylvania that use numerous Xerox products including DocuTech 6135 and 6180 Production Publishers and DocuColor 6060 Digital Color Presses. In addition to copying and high-volume print-on-demand, Conlin's also offers CD/DVD duplication and full bindery and fulfillment services.
