Majornas CopyPrint Drives Business with NEXPRESS 2100

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 30th, 2005 - NexPress Solutions, Inc., part of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, announces another successful installation of its KODAK NEXPRESS 2100 digital production color press with a fifth imaging unit and the KODAK NEXPRESS intelligent coating solution at Majornas CopyPrint in Denmark. Majornas CopyPrint has been delivering high-quality color print materials since their NEXPRESS 2100 press was installed at the end of 2004. The all-digital family-run business continues to grow in a highly competitive print market. According to Peter Bill, managing director of Majornas CopyPrint, one of the key factors in his company's decision to replace their aging digital printing system was the ability to offer the value-added benefits of the new fifth imaging unit solutions: KODAK NEXPRESS intelligent coating, intelligent glossing and intelligent color. These solutions offer protective coating, appearance-enhancing high-gloss and a color gamut extension. Bill says, "Our NEXPRESS 2100 press has, in fact, brought us both new jobs and new customers, and the biggest reason is quality. We used to have to tell customers that we were printing digitally. Today, most jobs show no difference whatsoever in quality, so we no longer have to talk about printing methods. What customers want is quick delivery, high quality, and the right price, and we deliver this every day with our 2100." Majornas CopyPrint uses the intelligent coating solution to add an additional clear protective layer to printed products. To take full advantage of the new solutions and offer additional new services to their customers, the company also invested in the intelligent glossing solution and the near-line KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit, an external unit that enables Majornas to deliver print products with an enhanced image quality and a laminate-like gloss. This combination allows them to provide the best of both worlds - the proven time and cost savings of short-run, on-demand printing, with outstanding quality, durability and high-gloss for an improved impact. Bill knows how to grow his business in a challenging climate, and his NEXPRESS 2100 press is a key element for this strategy. "Many printers in our market are not making money on the jobs they accept," he says. "But there are factors that can make a difference. We're convinced that having the best production equipment, including our NEXPRESS 2100 press, will enable us to make money on all our jobs, without simply competing on price. The reliability and throughput are exceptional, and the result is satisfied customers." As he looks to the future, he expects Majornas CopyPrint to continue to thrive. The company has recently implemented a web-to-print capability that allows customers to order various materials online for rapid production and delivery. "Our customers no longer have to spend a lot of time finding out what material is available; everything they need is accessible online. It saves time and effort and ultimately strengthens our relationships," Bill concludes.
