Quark appoints new vice president of sales for the Americas

DENVER - March 21, 2005 - Quark Inc. today announced the appointment of Richard Pasewark as its new vice president of sales for the Americas. Pasewark will be based in the company’s New York office, where he will drive efforts to ensure a superior experience for customers nationwide. With more than 15 years of experience in technology sales, Pasewark’s most recent post was as vice president of sales and marketing at Xyvision Enterprise Solutions, a software and services company focused on XML content management, publishing, and delivery solutions. In this role he was responsible for sales, pre-sales, business development, marketing, and product management. He spent more than 7 years in sales and business development for Frame Technology, the original developers of FrameMaker. Responsible for selling high-end system solutions, including data creation, management, and distribution of information through customized database and document management facilities, Pasewark has provided solutions to major companies such as Fidelity, LexisNexis, Meredith Corporation, Northrop Grumman, Phillips Electronics, RR Donnelly, Tribune Corp., TV Guide, Unisys, and United Health Care. Coming to Quark with a career focused on business development, including the creation, implementation, and support of channel and direct sales efforts, and with his expertise in managing marketing programs and pre-sales departments, Pasewark will be a valuable asset to the Quark management team. “Richard’s understanding of publishing technology and his knowledge of document management make him a perfect lead for our US sales group,” said Kamar Aulakh, president and CEO of Quark. “His attention to account service and customer care is a perfect fit with the new face of Quark.”
