Xerox purchases Veenman for $68M

NORWALK, Conn. April 16, 2008 -- Xerox Corp. agreed to buy Corporate Express NV's unit that distributes office printers and copiers to small businesses in the Netherlands for $68 million in cash, the copy machine maker said Wednesday.

Xerox said its acquisition of Veenman BV will more than double its sales force in the region. Veenman currently does not distribute any Xerox products.

The Norwalk, Conn., company plans to retain the Veenman management.
