Boston Print Buyers Offer Roundtable Discussions

Press release from the issuing company

CHESTNUT HILL, MA – APRIL 15, 2008 – Boston Print Buyers' (BPB) first-ever Roundtable Discussion Group will take place on Wednesday, May 14th, in Waltham, MA. This dinner program will be held from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Doubletree Guest Suites at 550 Winter Street in Waltham.

In a departure from its standard sponsor-hosted dinner meetings in downtown Boston, BPB has created this special program that will feature five different roundtable discussions at a new venue in suburban Waltham.

"We've wanted to try a location outside of Boston for a long time," said BPB founder Margie Dana. "There are print buyers who find it very inconvenient to drive into the city on a weeknight. And it was the perfect opportunity to try this new format, which should be very meaningful for print buyers who want to learn from their peers."

The Program
Five facilitators will lead a different discussion at each table during dinner. The topics and their facilitators will be:

1.      What Skills Do Print Buyers Need NOW (Jill Connolly, Analog Devices)
2.      How to Measure the Caliber of Your Printers (Arlene Ouellette, Brookstone)
3.      Innovative Ways to Save Money (Paul Carroll, American Printing)
4.      Buying Print in China: One Buyer's Experience (Amy Feiner, Millipore)
5.      Going Green with Printing (Tom Pixton, MIT Publishing Services Bureau)

Attendees may select a table upon arrival to take part in a particular conversation. After 30 minutes, everyone can switch tables so that they can benefit from a second discussion. "The challenge will be selecting a topic," Dana suggests, "since all five of them resonate with many print buying pros today. The good news is that we'll be offering roundtable discussions like these at our 3rd Annual Print Buyers Conference in September."

How to Register
Advance tickets are just $35 for BPB members and $55 for non-members. (Add $10 at the door.) The fee includes dinner and the Roundtable Discussions.

Everyone is welcome, including print buyers, designers, decision-makers and related professionals. Printers, brokers and other service providers are welcome but must register a print buyer with them when they sign up. Seating is limited, so advance registration is requested.

The Doubletree Guest Suites Boston/Waltham is conveniently located just minutes from Routes 2, 128/95 and the Mass Pike. Self-parking is free.
