NewsConnect serves newspapers that require a limited number of operators to output film or plates on one or two devices for printing a limited number of editions on a single press in a single location. NewsConnect, a Java based browser client application run on a Windows 2000 operating system, gives users the ability to view and control the system across the Internet. NewsConnect provides interfaces to most common imagesetter and CtP devices, and offers page-furniture merging for CtP applications.
