Vertis Named One Of Fortune Magazine's Most Admired Companies

Press release from the issuing company

BALTIMORE, Md. (March 11, 2005) – This week Vertis was named by Fortune magazine as one of most admired companies in the advertising and marketing category in their 2005 list of America’s Most Admired Companies. “We are extremely proud to be recognized as one of America’s Most Admired Companies. Fortune magazine and the many people who participated in their survey validate our position as a premier advertising solution company,” said Don Roland, chairman and CEO of Vertis. “This is also a wonderful confirmation of the significant talent and commitment to our customers of every one of our employees.” The 23rd annual list of America’s most admired companies was compiled by 10,000 executives, directors and veteran analysts at 582 companies in the nation. Each judge rated companies within their industry based on eight attributes: innovation, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment and quality of products/services. Vertis ranked No. 1 in social responsibility and No. 2 on all of the other attributes. “Considering this is the first year Fortune ranked the advertising and marketing category, it says so much that we are considered to be at the top of our industry by our customers, peers and competitors,” said Janice Mayo, senior vice president of marketing for Vertis. “We are also proud to lead the field in social responsibility.” For more information contact Michelle Metter or Maria Amor at (619) 234-0345.
