callas pdfColorConvert: color conversion directly from within Acrobat 6 and 7

Press release from the issuing company

Berlin, March 9th, 2005. callas software, publishing and PDF software specialist from Berlin, Germany, introduces pdfColorConvert, a new tool for professional PDF editing. The Plug-In for Adobe Acrobat 6 and 7, which is available for Windows 2000/XP and for Mac OS X, converts RGB data and spot colors from within PDF files into CMYK. pdfColorConvert has been designed for publishing experts as well as for office users, who are looking for an easy, time-saving way to prepare PDFs for color correct print output - even without being skilled with detailled Color Management knowledge. The introductory price for pdfColorConvert is 249 EURO. What makes the software so special is its ease of use. In case the user does not know the origin of the PDF he wants to convert, the "Automatic best guess" feature can determine input settings automatically. To convert and output the PDF document correctly, a number of current, ready-to-use output profiles - from sheet fed offset to gravure print - have already been set up by callas - the user just has to take his choice. Additional features contain a "Recall..." option, which helps to save time when it comes to processing repetetive jobs: it identifies and adopts former settings which may be suitable for current spot color conversions. Every conversion process is documented with reports, including detailed information.
