Ramsey Press To Host G7 Training May 6-7

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

Mahwah, NJ, April 22, 2008 – Ramsey Press, Inc, the award-winning, state-certified, woman-owned boutique commercial printer in Northern New Jersey, is proud to host the May 6th through 7th G7 Master Printer Professional Training session at its facilities in Mahwah, New Jersey.
The two-day training session is sponsored by IDEAlliance.
G7 is a new calibration method developed to support the GRACoL 7 specification. The 'G' refers to calibrating Gray values, while the '7' refers to the seven primary color values defined in the ISO 12647-2 printing standard; Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (K), Red (M+Y), Green (C+Y) and Blue (C+M). Although originally intended for commercial offset printing, the G7 method is applicable to virtually any CMYK imaging process, and has been successfully tested on a wide range of processes, including coated and uncoated offset, newsprint, gravure, flexography, dye-sublimation, ink-jet, and electro-photography, as well as a wide range of AM and FM screening methods.
The G7 Professional Training Program is scheduled from 9: 00 AM until 3:00 PM on both Tuesday May 6th and continuing from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7th.  Cost for the program is $1,000 for IDEAlliance members, or $1,200 for non-member s.  The cost includes a one year GRACoL Network Membership.
Interested parties may register online at www.idealliance.org, or contact the program manager, Donna Laurenzi directly atdlaurenzi@idealliance.org or calling 703.837.1086
In September of 2007, Ramsey Press was granted G7 Master Printer certification from IDEAlliance for global third-party recognition for commercial print quality.
