New York Times purchases Press Controls and Digital Inking from Goss

March 7th, 2005 – The New York Times and Goss International have agreed to a second phase of upgrades to their presses for Goss Press Controls and Digital Inking at six of their national printing facilities which include: Ocala, FL; Gainesville, FL; Lakeland, FL; Wilmington, NC; Spartanburg, SC; and Santa Rosa, CA. Since 2002, The New York Times has ordered in excess of 350 printing couples of Goss Digital Inking, making it the largest worldwide customer for this innovative inking system upgrade. The new Goss Press Controls ordered by The New York Times will provide a common data format enabling standardized reporting for all sites, as well as significantly enhancing the presses’ operating efficiencies with powerful Windows based PC’s. “We are very excited that New York Times is again choosing Goss to provide Press Controls and Digital Inking technologies as an integral part of their quality initiatives,” states Goss Director of Aftermarket Sales, Harry Kokolus.
