Enhanced EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment Solution Streamlines Internet-based Ordering

Press release from the issuing company

Foster City, Calif. – Feb. 28, 2005 – EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, is now shipping an enhanced version of PrinterSite Fulfillment, its web-based, client-facing module. Available for the EFI Hagen? OA, EFI Logic? SQL and EFI PSI? print management systems, the new EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment module helps printers streamline inventory management and offer value-added online fulfillment ordering services to customers. Many new features have been added to version 2.0 of the software, most notably: • managerial or buyer approvals; • display and selection of quantity price breaks; • a new file upload function for graphics and customer-supplied database files; • and the ability to batch download versioned PDFs to streamline print on demand production. Version 2.0 is also the first release to support the EFI Hagen OA MIS system and will be fully integrated with the next version of Hagen, version 8.5, scheduled to ship in Q2. EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment provides an easy to use, web-based tool to order, track and maintain finished goods inventories directly from the desktop. Clients can check inventory levels, place and track orders, even review and edit proofs for print on demand items through an easy to use, customizable web storefront. The integration of PrinterSite Fulfillment with EFI's print management systems enables both clients and staff to accurately track quantities and order status in real-time. As orders are placed and new work is produced for clients, inventory updates from Hagen, Logic or PSI are automatically reflected in the online product catalog. “The response to our launch of PrinterSite Fulfillment last year was tremendous – customers recognize that fulfillment services are an excellent way to gain new clients, deepen relationships with existing clients, and build new profit centers,” said Chuck Gehman, director of product marketing for EFI. “This latest version includes many upgrades requested by our customers, and we're excited to now make the product available to our Hagen OA users, too. By combining their processing and billing power with Internet ordering via PrinterSite Fulfillment, printers can provide superior, faster customer service while offering a competitive and revenue-generating value-added service.” EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment eliminates data entry errors and mis-communication with customers, moving jobs through the order process and into production more quickly. With its easy to use interface, self-service ordering and job status tracking requires no training, giving customers immediate accessibility to order what they want, when they want. Said Eric Rountree, VP of Operations at New London Press, “EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment has helped us win new business and retain existing accounts. We're excited about the new version's capabilities, and the additional benefits it will bring to our customers and our own business. Specifically, the file upload function will give clients the opportunity to add their company brand to a variable piece, and the client approval function will hand control of the order process to the customer, eliminating manual order entry on our end. And the batch downloading of PDF files will save keystrokes for our operators.”
