Lasermax Roll Systems Announces Executive Management Team

Ljungby, Sweden and Burlington, MA (February 17, 2005) - Lasermax Roll Systems announced today that William Carroll has been appointed president, Americas, and Jeff Kewin has been appointed executive vice president, worldwide marketing and business development, effective April 1. Founded in 2004 after a merger between Roll Systems Inc. and the Lasermax division of Stralfors, Lasermax Roll Systems is the world's largest producer of automated paper handling, monitoring, finishing and converting equipment for the digital printing industry. "With this announcement, the executive leadership team of the merged company is fully established," said Mr. Pelle Ohlsson, president and CEO of Lasermax Roll Systems. In his new position, Mr. Carroll takes on the task of integrating the operations of the former Roll Systems and the former Lasermax division of Stralfors in the United States. A ten-year employee of Roll Systems, Mr. Carroll was named president of Roll Systems Inc. upon its acquisition by Böwe Systec AG of Augsburg, Germany in August 2004, prior to Böwe entering into the joint venture agreement with Stralfors. Mr. Carroll had previously held the position of vice president of engineering and operations, and earlier he held the position of vice president international for sales and marketing. Mr. Kewin is now responsible for streamlining the product direction of the integrated operation. Mr. Kewin previously held the position of president of Stralfors USA. Earlier he held the position of vice president/general manager with Stralfors Lasermax. Prior to his recent nine years with Lasermax, Mr. Kewin spent twelve years with Wallace Computer Services. In addition to Mr. Carroll's and Mr. Kewin's new positions, AnnaPia Johansson has been promoted to chief financial officer of Lasermax Roll Systems. Ms. Johansson has been controller of the Stralfors Lasermax division since 2001. Before she joined Stralfors, Ms. Johansson was with the Swedish company Trelleborg AB as a business controller. Lasermax Roll Systems Americas is headquartered in Burlington, MA. Products are manufactured in the US and Sweden, and are sold in over 50 countries through a direct sales force as well as through an international network of distributors.
