MENASHA, WI -- For the fourth time since its inception seven years ago, Forbes named Banta Corporation to its 2005 “Platinum 400 - America’s Best Big Companies” list. Banta is the only printer to appear in this year’s media industry category. “Being considered one of ‘America’s Best Big Companies’ by Forbes is an honor and certainly a testament to the hard work and dedication our employees demonstrate every day in serving our customers,” said Chairman, President and CEO Stephanie Streeter. Forbes uses multiple computer screening mechanisms to shake out the top performers in 26 different industry categories. Companies considered must have at least $1 billion in revenue and high rankings for corporate practices, long- and short-term sales and earnings growth, as well as good stock market performance. Writers and editors at Forbes further review the companies under consideration for the quality of their management team. In this year’s list, Banta ranked second out of 13 in the media category for its annualized total shareholder return over five years of 17.8%.
