Environment Paper's 100% Post-Consumer Fiber Papers Receive FSC Certification

ALPHARETTA, GA. (February 11, 2005) – Neenah Paper, a leading manufacturer of premium uncoated writing, text and cover papers, has received chain-of-custody certification from SmartWood, accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), for ENVIRONMENT Paper’s 100 Percent Post-Consumer Fiber options.  The certification applies to four colors in the Brand:  White, Ultra Bright White, PC 100 White and PC 100 Natural White. “Neenah Paper continues to engage environmentally and socially conscious consumers and satisfy their needs by providing environmentally preferable papers,” said Michael P. Washburn, Ph.D., Vice President of Forestry and Marketing for the Forest Stewardship Council - U.S.  “Neenah’s commitment to FSC certification demonstrates their dedication to being a leadership company, and reflects their ability to stay ahead of the curve as markets shift toward sustainable products.  FSC is proud to have Neenah as part of our family of companies.” The FSC logo lets customers know they can help reduce their environmental footprint by using these papers.  PC 100 White and PC 100 Natural White are made with 100 percent post-consumer fiber.  The White and Ultra Bright White colors are made with 20 percent FSC certified virgin fiber and 80 percent post-consumer fiber.
