Creo Announces Appointments to Creo Americas Leadership Team

Vancouver, BC, Canada (February 11, 2005)  Creo Inc. is pleased to announce several appointments to the Creo Americas management team as a result of the consolidation of North American operations that began in August 2004. Operations and Finance David J. O'Brien has been appointed vice president of operations and finance for Creo Americas. He is also responsible for human resources and legal functions for Creo Americas. Mr. O'Brien joined Creo in 1999 and held positions that included production manager, project manager, and director of operations. Most recently he served as acting vice president, finance and operations, for Creo Japan. Prior to joining Creo, Mr. O'Brien served as operations manager with Iotron Technologies, a Vancouver-based high tech company. Mr. O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia. Sales Filip Buyse has been appointed vice president of sales for Creo Americas. He is responsible for overseeing all sales activities in the Americas, driving strategic initiatives and managing support and consulting services. Most recently, Mr. Buyse was managing director of global accounts for Creo Inc., where he was responsible for overseeing the business activities with Creo's largest customers. Prior to this role, he served as vice president, business development, focused on the industry-wide Networked Graphic Production" initiative. Prior to joining Creo, Mr. Buyse served as vice president, worldwide sales for Printcafe, Inc. after an extended career with Heidelberg Web Systems, Inc. Mr. Buyse holds a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and a Master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Management. He is a member of the PIA, the Web Offset Association Supplier Advisory Board and the PIA President's Conference Board. Marketing Barry G. Quart has been appointed vice president of marketing for Creo Americas. He is responsible for all marketing activities in the Americas, including all product and segment-based marketing, business development, telemarketing, and driving Creo's key strategic initiatives. Since joining Creo in 1997, Mr. Quart has served in the roles of project manager, product manager, director of commercial and publication workflow products, and vice president, product marketing. Prior to joining Creo, Mr. Quart worked with Alcatel Canada Inc., managing software product lines and projects for complex train and subway signaling control applications, the London Underground, and the Vancouver SkyTrain. Mr. Quart holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Concordia University. Mr. O'Brien and Mr. Quart are based in the Creo Americas subsidiary headquarters now located in Vancouver. Mr. Buyse is based in the Dallas, TX office. The Creo Americas management team, which also includes Jerry Aucoin, vice president of customer service, reports to Judi Hess, acting president of Creo Americas, and president of Creo Inc.
