QuadTech expands service support in Asia Pacific

Press release from the issuing company

When QuadTech opened its Asia Pacific office in Singapore in September 1992, it employed a service manager and two service engineers to cover the entire Asia Pacific region. As sales in the region grew over the next five years, a third engineer joined the team to ensure that QuadTech maintained its renowned high standard of service for its ever-increasing customer base. During this time, QuadTech also expanded its spare parts inventory to ensure prompt and efficient support for the rapidly growing market and, as a further demonstration of its long-term commitment to the region, QuadTech established a fully-equipped training facility in the Singapore premises. This demonstration/training area was set up to provide the initial and ongoing training of the Asia Pacific engineers. As new products are developed specialist trainers are sent out from the USA Head Office to ensure that the high level of installation and service for our customers is maintained. This training area has also been used extensively to train customers in the operation and maintenance of the QuadTech equipment installed in their plants. David Hirons, QuadTech Asia Pacific's Service Manager comments "Our primary focus is to provide the highest possible level of service to all our customers with a ready supply of parts, prompt service and training facilities for their operators and maintenance staff." As market focus shifted to northern Asia, fuelled largely by the emergence of the People's Republic of China as the major growth market in the region, QuadTech employed its first service engineer in Shanghai in 2001, again supported by a comprehensive spare parts inventory. Now, as QuadTech Asia Pacific passes the 12th anniversary of its presence in Asia, the service team in China has grown to three, with two based in Shanghai and one in Beijing. This expansion again demonstrates QuadTech's commitment to supporting its growing number of loyal customers and provides faster, more efficient service to the vast geographical area of China. David Mitchell, Manager of QuadTech Asia Pacific, explains "We now have in excess of 200 installations, many with multiple products, in operation at almost 100 printing plants throughout mainland China, all deserving of the best possible service we can provide." Recognised as the world leader in the production of electronic controls for the web offset industry, QuadTech Inc. has its headquarters in Sussex, Wisconsin, USA and celebrated its 25th anniversary on 16th December 2004.
