Matching solutions for the label industry: Körber PaperLink at Etiketka 2005

Press release from the issuing company

Hamburg, Germany and Moscow; February 4, 2005 - Körber PaperLink, represented by KPL Russia, will present two solutions for label production at Etiketka/LabelShow 2005 in Moscow. From March 14 to 17, visitors to the exhibition will be briefed at Booth N3, Hall 4 about the precision cutting machine LabelCut 102 from Kugler-Womako and about the SHM 1450 CTR (Cut-to-Register) folio-size sheeter from E.C.H. Will. The LabelCut 102 produces wet glue labels used for beverage bottles, for example, and for other small format sections from paper and BOPP film. The enhanced concept of the LabelCut 102 significantly rationalizes pro-duction cycle. Labels are produced on a production line, all the way from the pre-printed paper roll to the completed label form. The machine can be set to accommodate new formats in a matter of minutes. This allows mul-tiple orders to be completed efficiently. The SHM 1450 CTR folio-size sheeter is an ongoing development of the proven SHM series. The Cut-to-Register version is designed for high pre-cision ( +/- 0.15mm ) conversion of pre-printed rolls of plain and metalized paper label stocks and also plastic films. Following sheeting the cut blanks are processed off-line. This makes the SHM 1450 CTR the right solution for manufacturers who first cut printed paper rolls into folio-size sheets and then wish to trim them manually with guillotines and die punches into finished stacks of labels. The SHM 1450 processes all commercial web press widths in a sheet length range of 295-1500mm at speeds of up to 300 m/min. "Stiffer competition and ever more aggressive product branding are lead-ing to growing demand in the Russian market for really high quality labels. At Etiketka, we are featuring the LabelCut 102 and the SHM 1450, CTR two technologies that are at the extremes of various customer require-ments during label production. This gives companies the right solution to participate in business growth,” says Elena Tkatch, office manager of KPL Russia.
