Ifra and WAN discontinue talks on merger

Darmstadt, 2 February 2005 – Ifra and the World Association of Newspapers (WAN) have ceased talks about a potential merger, the two organisations announced today. Both associations agreed to continue close cooperation and expressed the hope that circumstances would allow them to re-open discussions on a merger at a future date.
