Heidelberg USA Announces New Product Installation Report

KENNESAW, Ga. – February 1, 2005 – Heidelberg USA announces the following sample of new product installations:   ABS Complete Printing Service Increases Productivity With Printmaster QM 46 ABS Complete Printing Service, located in Lanham, Md., recently installed a two-color Printmaster QM 46. Currently, ABS is using the new press to produce two, three and four-color products including letterhead, business cards and point-of-sale materials. Since the installation of its first Heidelberg press, the shop has noted a significant increase in production. Founded in 1969, ABS is a family-owned and operated general commercial print shop that houses 10 employees and services both local and national clients.   Buchanan Printing & Graphics Adds Second Printmaster QM 46 Buchanan Printing & Graphics of Greensboro, N.C., reports that since installing its second Printmaster QM 46, both print quality and output have improved considerably. The new two-color press is being used to produce corporate identity materials such as letterhead, envelopes, brochures and business cards. Founded in 1990, Buchanan Printing & Graphics is a general commercial shop that specializes in short-run, high-quality work. The small, family-owned and operated shop houses nine employees and services a local client base that includes advertising and graphic design firms. In 2004, Buchanan Printing & Graphics reported more than $1 million in annual revenue.   Budco Installs New POLAR 66 Cutter from Heidelberg Headquartered in Highland Park, Mich., Budco: The Dialogue Company, recently added a POLAR 66 cutter with stacklift in order to meet increasing customer demand. Since the installation, production within the shop has increased significantly, overtime shifts have been eliminated and make-ready has decreased. Budco provides dialogue business solutions to a variety of corporate customers including Ford Motor Company, The Walt Disney Company and Johnson & Johnson. Established in 1982, the company houses more than 700 regular employees and reported nearly $100 million in gross sales in 2004.   Budget Print & Copy Increases Production with New Press, Prepress Equipment Budget Print & Copy Center, located in Louisville, Ky., reports a 15 percent increase in production with the recent installation a two-color Printmaster QM 46 and a Quicksetter 300E in November 2004. Currently, the shop is using the new equipment to produce general commercial work including brochures, fliers, direct mail pieces and letterhead. With more than 45 years of experience in the printing industry, Budget Print & Copy provides its customers with high-quality, two and four-color work.   Color World of Montana Installs New Printmaster QM 46 Color World of Montana, Inc., recently installed a two-color Printmaster QM 46. The shop added the small, high-output press to print business identity materials such as envelopes, fliers, business cards and letterhead. Located in Bozeman, Mont., Color World is a mid-size general commercial printer that produces marketing and communications materials for regional tourist businesses and resorts. Founded in 1967, the shop houses 51 employees.   Copy Express Inc. Adds New Speedmaster SM 52 Copy Express Inc., located in Lexington, Ky., recently added a five-color Speedmaster SM 52 with perfector and high-pile delivery and an Easyfold folder. The shop upgraded from an existing QM 46 in order to increase run length and productivity. Copy Express is using the new press to produce pocket folders, brochures and newsletters. The mid-size, family-owned and operated shop has been in business for more than 25 years. With 31 employees, Copy Express produces general commercial materials for advertising agencies and commercial, medical and industrial clients.   Dynagraphics Inc. Increases Productivity with Printmaster QM 46 Dynagraphics Inc., based in Decatur, Ill., recently installed a two-color Printmaster QM 46 in order to increase productivity and automation within the shop. The new press is being used to produce two-color work including mailing pieces and fliers. Since the installation in October 2004, the shop has noted a 5 percent increase in productivity and a significant improvement in print quality. Founded in 2001, Dynagraphics is a mid-size general commercial print shop that services a national client base consisting of convenience store chains, contractors and customers in the transportation industry. With 34 employees, the family-owned and operated shop continues to experience significant growth.   Fryes Printing Evolves to CtP Technology with Prosetter 74 Fryes Printing, located in Napa, Calif., recently transferred from film to CtP processing by adding a Prosetter 74 with imposition software and proofing to its prepress department. With the recent installation of the new prepress system, the shop has reported that its presses are running less ink and registration has improved. Founded in 1978, the small general commercial print shop has the capability to handle one-color jobs as well as four-color glossy projects. Fryes Printing services a client base that includes local and national customers such as advertising agencies and graphic design firms.   Harvest Printing & Copy Center Adds POLAR 78X Cutter Harvest Printing & Copy Center in Tallahassee, Fla., recently added a POLAR 78X cutter to its bindery. The new cutter has improved production workflow within the shop and the quality of the final product. The shop is using the system to finish newsletters, brochures and booklets. Founded in 1985, Harvest Printing is a small family-owned and operated quick printer that services local clients.   Insty-Prints of Elk Grove Installs New Printmaster QM 46 Insty-Prints of Elk Grove, Ill., reports an increase in productivity after installing a Printmaster QM 46 in October 2004. The press is the first piece of equipment that the shop has purchased from Heidelberg. The two-color QM 46 is running at 9,000 impressions per hour while producing multi-color posters, newsletters, business cards and business forms. Opened in 1984, the small, quick-print shop produces marketing materials for local manufacturers and distributors.   Lithographic Communications Increases Productivity with POLAR 92X Cutter Lithographic Communications, located in Munster, Ind., recently added a Polar 92X cutter to its fleet of Heidelberg equipment purchased within the last two years. Since installing the new cutter, the shop has noted a 40 percent increase in cutting productivity. Lithographic Communications is a family-owned shop specializing in direct mail advertising printing, data processing and mailing services. Founded in 1988, the shop runs a two-shift operation with a total of 48 employees.   Oliver Printing Co. Adds Drupa-Edition CD 102 Oliver Printing Co. Inc., based in Twinsburg, Ohio, recently added a drupa-edition six-color CD 102 with coater, extended delivery and axis control scanner to its pressroom. The all-Heidelberg shop has reported a reduction in cycle time due to the increased automation on the new press. Founded in 1924, Oliver Printing Co. is a family-owned and operated general commercial printer specializing in high-quality, short turnaround jobs. The shop services customers in northeast Ohio and metro New York including Fortune 500 companies and advertising agencies.   Precision Graphics Triples Production with New Prepress, Postpress Equipment   Precision Graphics Inc. has tripled its production since installing a Prosetter 102 and a Stahl B-26 folder. In addition, the new equipment has allowed the shop to expand its client base and increase efficiency. Located in Adamsville, Ala., Precision Graphics is a general commercial printer that has a substantial client base including advertising agencies, healthcare facilities and major corporations. The shop is using the new equipment to produce color brochures, posters and saddlestitched books.   Print ‘N Copy Extends Capabilities with New Printmaster QM 46 Print ‘N Copy of Elko, Nev., recently installed a two-color Printmaster QM 46 with envelope feeder. Upon updating its equipment with the new press, the shop has expanded its capabilities to include 11 x 17 book pages. Founded in 1986, Print ‘N Copy is a small, general commercial print shop that is independently owned and operated. The shop services a variety of local clientele including banks, medical facilities, the Chamber of Commerce and businesses in the gold mining industry.   Topline Imaging Installs Printmaster QM 46, Quicksetter 300 Topline Imaging, located in Freehold, N.J., reports a 30 percent increase in productivity upon installing a two-color Printmaster QM 46 and a Quicksetter 300. The new equipment is being used to produce brochures, annual reports and newsletters. Topline Imaging is a small, general commercial print shop that services a varied client base that includes advertising agencies, direct mail houses and the Metropolitan Opera.   Zebra Graphics Adds New Press, Imaging System Zebra Graphics recently added a four-color SM 74 with perfector and coater and a Prosetter 74. The general commercial printer installed the new equipment in order to accommodate recent growth and increase efficiency within the shop. Located in Paducah, Ky., Zebra Graphics was established in 1997 and has been averaging 20 percent growth annually. The family-owned and operated shop has been using the new equipment to produce brochures, small catalogs and newsletters.
