Xeikon Provides Labeling Solutions For Go Tape And Label

Press release from the issuing company

Itasca, IL & Miami, FL - January 31, 2005 - Xeikon America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Punch International, announces the purchase of the Xeikon 330 label printing press by Go Tape and Label, Inc. of Miami, Florida for their short run label requirements. According to Wendy Fried, President of Go Tape and Label, "Now that short run printing is really taking off-thanks to the Xeikon 330-we are ready to expand services to both new and existing customers." The Xeikon 330 is a natural progression for Go Tape and Label. In 1991, the company made commitments to short-run label production and hired an in-house computer programmer to upgrade their technology with a customized program. With business already developed in several consumer product markets that include labels for hair care products, sport beverages, bottled water, automotive oils and vitamins, Wendy is planning to utilize the versatility of the Xeikon 330 to also print Point-of- Purchase (POP) for Go Tape and Label's existing customers. When asked why they chose the Xeikon 330, Jaime Rabchinsky, Go Tape and Label's Vice President said, "The Xeikon 330 is much easier to operate as compared to the other digital label presses. In addition, it was a pleasure to do business with the Xeikon people." According to Jaime, Go Tape and Label is committed to digital printing because "It is more profitable for both the customer and the printer-it's the wave of the future." With the Xeikon 330, Jaime expects their overall label printing business to "Increase the bottom line by 37% over last year". Digital printing offers a process that reduces both the set up time and material waste, and delivers increased flexibility with quick turnaround for the customer. Carl Dunaway, Regional Sales Manager-South for Xeikon America stated, "Go Tape and Label recognizes its strengths and is optimizing what it does really well by transitioning to digital printing". The Xeikon 330 will not only accommodate the production of Go Tape and Label's existing work but will also enhance the range of services provided by the company. "With our client base already in place, variable data on labels and barcodes will be no problem. The 330 will improve our quality, overall turnaround time and delivery-we're ready for the 330", concluded Wendy Fried.
