New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco are targeted with additional sales power KBA North America, a leading sheetfed offset press manufacturer based in Williston, Vt., has appointed four new district sales managers across the country to provide additional sales power in key markets. The four new district sales managers bring a combined history of over 100 years of printing press sales experience to KBA. Angel Beltran del Rio is based in Los Angeles as a district sales manager. His territory covers southern California from San Louis Obispo south to the U.S. border. Born and raised in southern California, Beltran was introduced to the printing industry by his father at the age of 13. He has experience as a pressman and press mechanic. He has worked as a printing machinery salesman since 1981 for a printing press manufacturer. Ed Heffernan is the new district sales manager for the metropolitan New York region of KBA North America. His territory covers the five boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, and the Bronx), Westchester, Long Island, and northern New Jersey. Heffernan graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1980 with a degree in printing management. He worked for another printing press equipment manufacturer installing business management systems and moving into sales. Gerald Whitlow is the new district sales manager for northern Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. He is based in Atlanta. With over 30 years of experience in the printing industry, Whitlow began his career as a bindery equipment manager for an international manufacturer, then moved into sales and advertising for a German bindery equipment manufacturer. He most recently sold printing presses for an overseas printing press equipment manufacturer. Born and raised in San Francisco, Michael Bates is the new district sales manager for northern California, northern Nevada (including Reno), and Oregon. A graduate of the University of San Francisco, he has 23 years of experience in the printing industry. Sixteen of those years were spent with another printing press manufacturer, six in printing press sales and ten in press demonstration, instruction, and troubleshooting. KBA increases market share and grows customer base “The addition of these professional and experienced district managers will help KBA North America continue our focus on the industry’s best customer service,” says Ralf Sammeck, KBA North America President and CEO. “They will show how KBA is developing new technology to help its customers differentiate themselves from their competition.”
