Press release from the issuing company

MALVERN, Penn.--Jan. 18, 2005-- IKON Office Solutions, the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services, will host the second annual IKON Insight Series, a 12-city seminar series aimed at helping executives and IT managers achieve operational success beyond the convergence of print, copy, scan and image technology. The 2005 IKON Insight Series, "Beyond Convergence: Delivering Operational Success through Document Management," will feature expertise from leading industry analysts Keith Kmetz and Riley McNulty of IDC, who will take a closer look at a more strategic approach to document management to streamline workflow and enhance processes. In addition, IKON customers will offer first-hand experiences in implementing document management strategies to help achieve greater efficiency and productivity enterprise-wide. "Convergence has enabled organizations to utilize print, copy, scan and image technology to more effectively create and manage documents within one device," said Cathy Lewis, Senior Vice President of Marketing for IKON. "However, many organizations have yet to realize the benefits beyond the equipment. The Insight Series will show executives and IT managers why document management is an essential strategy to improving workflow, increasing productivity and decreasing expenses throughout an organization." The 2005 IKON Insight Series is a forum where attendees can examine best practices and new approaches for maximizing the success of their document management system. The 2005 Insight Series will include interactive discussions on: How to examine and achieve efficiency at every stage of the document management lifecycle, from input and capture to workflow to retention, while increasing customer satisfaction; How to assess and leverage digital technology to reduce document costs, enhance production and distribution, and streamline file storage; How to apply document management tools to direct more efficient workflows and help manage increased document sharing on expanding networks; and, How to evaluate a printing environment and strategically choose the most effective blend of on- and off-site managed services while focusing on the bottom line.
