GASC Announces Comprehensive Conference Topics For 2005 Vue/Point Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Reston, VA - Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) has recently released the 2005 VUE/POINT Conference topic list, the most comprehensive in the event’s 15 year history. The interactive nature of the conference makes it the most valuable experience available in the industry for print professionals. “VUE/POINT has been around for 15 years, and in that time the conference has grown and matured into a very strong event where graphic communications professionals of all types can learn from their peers and colleagues about meeting the challenges they face on a daily basis. At this conference, like no other, attendees will take home the benefits of the conference’s strength, which is to help attendees collaboratively find solutions within the graphic communications community. This year’s program is a particularly strong one for a variety of market sectors, and we feel that we ought to make the program relevant to an even broader range of professionals throughout the industry,” said Regis J. Delmontagne, president of GASC. The conference will be held outside the Washington, D.C. metro area for the first time at the Wyndham Palace in the Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida, April 11 - 13. The conference, which offers open forum panel discussions rather than structured seminar programs to deliver information to attendees, offers the opportunity to investigate the topics being discussed in an informal, no-pressure environment. It also allows participants to seek answers from those who have actually met the challenges being discussed in great detail. This year, the conference will focus more on the opportunity the high level of interaction represents for attendees to gain practical, usable information from their peers and other professionals in the industry, including extensive breaks between sessions, more questions for the audience from the moderators, and other opportunities to network privately. The high quality of content at the 2005 conference will remain as it has been in the past. Attendees to this event take away a significant amount of practical information they can put to use immediately to help expand their capabilities, build their business, run jobs more efficiently and make them more profitable. Topics this year include discussions of the latest approaches to workflow, updates on advances in software and hardware integration for print, web-enabled customer care systems and their value, proofing technologies, how to add mailing and fulfillment services, the latest plate technologies, variable data digital printing, and sessions on selling to the brand and how to deal with new print procurement strategies. Attendees have the opportunity to ask questions and gather information from sponsoring vendors through a series of manufacturer-hosted breakfast and evening functions. Manufacturers’ representatives are readily available and easily accessible to attendees with questions or to offer ideas. To provide even greater access to manufacturer’s information, the conference will again feature tabletop displays by each of the conference sponsors. “The broad choice of session topics is a terrific value for both first-time attendees to the event, and for those who return each year. We’ve made the sessions even more far reaching and relevant to a wider range of attendees, and offering more access to manufacturers through the tabletops gives them a chance to speak directly to the sponsors about their daily challenges,” noted Mike Vinocur, manager of the event. He added, “This year's program really focuses on trying to help printers become more profitable--both by growing their top line through new services and by reducing their costs through greater automation.” Interested attendees can obtain complete information about VUE/POINT and register online by visiting www.vue-point.com . The site also offers information about other GASC events, including PRINT & CONVERTINGSM, GRAPH EXPO and CONVERTING EXPO, and GUTENBERGSM& DIGITAL OUTLOOKSM
