Press release from the issuing company

DETROIT, Jan. 5 -- Spurred by an increase in marketplace demand for one-to-one communications, Budco, the Highland Park based marketing services and distribution company, added a second Xerox Docucolor iGen3 to its Digital Printing & Production capabilities. The iGen3 is Xerox's most advanced full-color, variable digital color printing system that allows users to create highly customized communications with maximum productivity, image quality and flexibility. "Budco is in a unique position to manage the entire workflow involved in variable communications because of its in-house marketing and distribution resources," said Mike Mahalak, Information Technologies General Manager. "Our Information Technology and database management capabilities, for example, allow us to use our equipment to its full potential by driving variability; our Creative Services area is experienced in designing for variable print production; and our backend production and distribution resources allow us to ensure appropriate finishing work." Budco provides marketing services outsourcing support to a variety of corporate customers. A major area of competency for Budco is Digital Printing and Production. Budco has 65,000 square feet of digital printing and production space at its Highland Park, Michigan headquarters. The company handles a variety of jobs including direct mail, custom packaging, special order fulfillment, and automated and manual assembly. "There is significant interest on the part of organizations today in building one-to-one communication programs whereby each member of an audience is treated as an individual," said Garry Cole, President, Budco Creative Services. "With variable technology companies are able to differentiate themselves not only in how they relate to their audiences, but in the value they are able to provide. "Companies have also seen positive, measurable results in terms of impact and Return On Investment (ROI), which clearly is a definite plus."
