Rapid Expansion at Netprint Fuels NexPress Addition

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., December 16, 2004 - Netprint, a digital printing plant located in Bresson, France founded in 2000, has been rapidly expanding and has acquired three new digital presses within the last two years. Two KODAK DIGIMASTER 9110 digital production systems were installed for digital black-and-white production. At the beginning of October, the company also installed a KODAK NEXPRESS 2100 digital production color press for digital color production. Digital technology has definitely been a winning strategy for this dynamic young firm. Renaud Caillat, Managing Director of Netprint, explains that the decision to buy DIGIMASTER 9110 digital production black-and-white systems and the NEXPRESS 2100 digital production color press was influenced by three factors. "First, our new technology strategic monitoring department, which guides purchases, put in a strong vote for the KODAK digital printing systems. Secondly, we thoroughly analyzed the systems' performance. Finally, the support from NexPress and the facilitated implementation process played an influential role in the decision." Netprint's client base is drawn mainly from the Grenoble area, with customers in corporate, publishing, advertising, industrial and institutional sectors, as well as direct mail and marketing. The average print run requested is around 150, but more often runs also increase to over 3,000 black-and-white prints. "Today's clients demand increasingly short production times and the printing of up-to-date information tailored to the target audience," says Caillat. "Our strategy consists of offering comprehensive, diversified and efficient services. With our DIGIMASTER 9110 system and the NEXPRESS 2100 press, we're able to satisfy our clients' demands for short runs, high quality printing, document versioning and personalization. With a solid digital solution, Netprint's future looks promising - and profitable." Renaud Caillat feels that quality in digital printing is an old debate. "Knowing whether to use offset or digital technology is no longer a hot topic. Offset and digital are now so close that there's no need to bring it up any more." To him, the quality is clear - and with this in mind, he is actively planning to upgrade his four-color press to a five-color system.
