Printsoft Americas Chooses BCC Software As New Distributor For Newleaf VDP Solution

Press release from the issuing company

Itasca, IL - December 13, 2004 - PrintSoft, the leading provider of efficient, variable document processing (VDP) solutions--with more than 6,000 licenses installed in 54 countries--announces a new sales, support and distribution relationship in the United States for their NEWLEAF product with Rochester, New York-based BCC Software, a 25-year veteran developer of acclaimed mailing technology products. Since 1989, PrintSoft has been addressing the growing need to compose high-value, highly complex documents that are 100% variable in content and format. Their VDP solutions are in use throughout the world in major corporations, Service Bureaus, Utilities, Telecommunications, Banking and Financial Services companies. PrintSoft chose BCC Software as a NEWLEAF distributor due to BCC's leadership position in the mailing-software market. BCC's flagship product, Mail Manager 2010, is a PC-based presorting and list-management solution noted throughout the industry for its unmatched combination of ease of use, flexible functionality, and value. BCC clients include Harvard and Columbia universities, The Miami Herald, Anheuser-Busch, the American Civil Liberties Union and The U.S. House of Representatives. "We're very impressed with BCC's track record of innovation, customer service and support," said Scott Bannor, EDP and Director of North American Sales for PrintSoft Americas. "Their understanding of today's mailing and printing markets, coupled with the value of NEWLEAF as an offering, makes this new relationship a good move for both companies and--by helping to spread the word about NEWLEAF to a wider audience--for printing and mailing professionals everywhere." Under the distribution agreement, BCC Software will sell, train and support NEWLEAF installations throughout the United States and Canada. This agreement further enhances BCC's ability to deliver direct-mail-related solutions. "We at BCC are thrilled to be working with PrintSoft," said Ted Seward, Vice President of Marketing for BCC Software. "As more printers reach across the aisle to add complementary mailing services--and as mailers continue to do the same with printing--we understand the value VDP solutions can have as a differentiator in both industries. PrintSoft's NEWLEAF is a terrific solution, one we're proud to be able to offer to our existing customers, and to promote to mailers and printers in North America." NEWLEAF, a self contained, easy to use-WYSIWYG variable data-printing, design and document composition tool, is targeted to Print & Mail Operations as well as corporate marketing departments. NEWLEAF allows users to build and preview variable print jobs in real-time. According to PrintSoft's Bannor, "With NEWLEAF's easy-to-use GUI-designed to be comfortable for anyone familiar with common PC-based office software--users don't need programming backgrounds to quickly create high-value personalized documents".
