MAN Roland introduces an on-site back-up parts program to enhance press uptime

Press release from the issuing company

Westmont, Illinois — Press Pass is a back-up bundle of electronic parts that printing facilities can maintain on-site to enhance the reliability of their MAN Roland presses. The parts kits are assembled by MAN Roland’s Rapid Response Team (RRT) to provide support for specific sheetfed models. The objective: to ensure that the proper component is on-hand for immediate repair and minimum disruption to the facility’s production schedule. “Press Pass is the next best thing to having a back-up press,” says Doug Still, Parts Marketing Manager for MAN Roland Inc. “Our Rapid Response Team can tell the press operator over the phone which part needs to be replaced, and Press Pass ensures the component is on the scene for immediate replacement. There’s no waiting for a component to be shipped, and there are no disappointed customers waiting for their jobs to be printed.” Three levels of Press Pass are available: The Certified Printer Series contains basic electronic components, such as power output boards for the press’ printing units. The Performance Printer Series provides electronics for the delivery, main switch cabinets as well as for the printing units. The Master Printer Series supplies all of the above, plus electronic components that control the press console, the feeder, and the feeder cabinet, for the ultimate in component coverage. Press Pass packages are available for all ROLAND 300, ROLAND 700 and ROLAND 900 sheetfed presses. All a printer has to do is provide his press’ serial number to obtain the proper bundle for his system. A 24-month warranty is provided with all Press Pass kits.
