IPA Webinars Tackle Computer-to-Plate Implementation

Press release from the issuing company

(December 1, 2004) IPA, The Association of Graphic Solutions Providers, has announced a Webinar series on computer-to-plate (CTP) designed for those who have yet to implement CTP or are struggling to realize its benefits. This two-part webinar program will explore in detail critical issues facing CTP implementation today, including the technology alternatives and the crucial business issues involved in selecting and implementing CTP technology. In addition to expert instruction, a diverse panel of knowledgeable users with first hand experience will share both the pains and joys of CTP implementation. The series will be led by Brian Alterio, Alterio Associates, who has over 20 years of experience in managing digital color prepress systems. On December 14, Brian will address the such issues as the benefits of CTP, thermal vs. process-less imaging, quality control, screening and profiling. On December 21, he and a panel of experienced users will address proofing, implementation “dos” and “don’ts”, workflow, automation and speed. Both sessions will be recorded and made available on CD or Video OnDemand approximately one week after each live broadcast. Registration can be found at www.ipa.org/ctp or by calling (800) 255-8141.
