Adlertech International Inc. and Optical Deterrent Systems LLC, leading providers of VOID pantograph technology to the print industry, have signed a comprehensive technical support agreement. Effective November 22, 2002, Adlertech assumes all technical support duties on behalf of ODS for licensees. The technical support agreement ensures that Optical Deterrent Systems commercial licensees can become compliant with ANSI X 9.7 requirements for Check 21. Adlertech International Inc. is the leader in advanced VOID pantograph printing techniques and methodologies; and can offer the guarantee that it’s methods and techniques will ensure that the VOID pantograph will run “smooth” without the common production and wastage problems associated with printing the VOID pantographs. Check 21 is the biggest operational change for the banking industry in decades. Banks will no longer be required to exchange paper checks; they will be able to electronically scan and image those same checks and exchange the images instead of the paper checks. In order to make the operations efficient these new check images must scan clean; the VOID Pantographs must drop out and not be seen in the scan. "What we have done is made printing a VOID pantograph easy and cost effective. We have eliminated waste and made production consistent" says Andrew McTaggart of Adlertech International. McTaggart continues “We have always enjoyed our professional relationship with Optical Deterrent Systems and we see this agreement as a very logical next step in that relationship.” Bob Saunders, Vice President and General Manager for Optical Deterrent Systems agrees, “Adlertech has demonstrated that they have an advanced understanding of VOID pantographs and Check 21 compliancy. We have been running this void technology since 1996 and Adlertech has assisted us in making it compliant”.
