Transcontinental will add three Goss Sunday 4000 presses

19 November - Transcontinental, the seventh largest printer in North America, will install three new double-circumference Goss Sunday presses at facilities in Canada beginning in early 2005. The order includes two 48-page Sunday 4000 presses and a 64-page Goss Sunday 4000 press. A Goss Sunday 4000 four-unit press configuration will be used for book printing. The other two will be installed in four- and five-unit configurations for magazines, catalogs, directories and other commercial products. All three gapless Sunday 4000 presses at Transcontinental will be equipped with Goss PCF-3TM pinless combination folders, Ecocool dryers with integrated chill rolls, and extensive automation features including the Goss Web CenterTM controls and the Autoplate fully automatic plate changing system. Goss will supply Contiweb FMR TM splicers with the 48-page presses and a Contiweb FDTM flying paster with the 64-page model.
