Domtar Unites Paper Merchant Operations Under Single Banner

Press release from the issuing company

MONTREAL, Nov. 18 - Domtar announced today that it has gathered all Domtar-owned merchant operations (Buntin Reid, JBR/La Maison du Papier, The Paper House and RIS Paper) under a single banner and umbrella name, the Domtar Distribution Group, thereby creating the fifth largest paper merchant organization in North America. This decision was driven by a desire to give the merchants a new and consistent business approach founded on Domtar's values and fundamental brand promise of accessibility, responsiveness and enthusiasm. In line with the new designation, a harmonized visual identity has been created for the members of the Domtar Distribution Group, with the individual branches retaining their local brand names followed by an additional descriptor, "the paper house." This revamped look and feel, which was launched recently, reflects the Group's membership in the Domtar family and the Corporation's ongoing commitment to the distribution sector. "Our strong distribution capabilities are a key differentiator for Domtar, and one that we plan to maintain going forward. The critical mass resulting from the creation of the Domtar Distribution Group, combined with our improved systems and a mobilized team, should help support future growth in this sector," noted Steven A. Barker, Senior Vice-President, Domtar Distribution Group.
