LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — This year, Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses (MLP U.S.A., Inc.) celebrates the 25th anniversary of the company's first press sale and installation in the United States. The sheetfed press — a six-color, 40-inch model — is currently owned and operated by CartonCraft, Inc. of Barrington, Ill.
Founded in 1987, CartonCraft is a full-service converter of folding cartons for fields as diverse as personal care products, automotive equipment, computer software and nutritional supplements.
"Mitsubishi presses are known the world over for their durability and reliability," observed K.G. Katayama, president of MLP U.S.A. "Every press is completely assembled and print-tested on the factory floor. Only after passing rigorous inspections and performance tests are they released for shipment. The continued high performance of the CartonCraft press is testament to the quality of Mitsubishi's manufacturing. In an Olympic year, when gold, silver and bronze take on special meaning, we are especially proud of this 'silver' milestone."
