Group Logic to Demonstrate Automated JDF and Preflight Workflows at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

October 11, 2004 (Arlington, VA) - Group Logic, developer of industry-leading network workflow solutions for the graphic arts industry, announced today that it will demonstrate two new MassTransit file transfer workflows at Graph Expo in Chicago this week. Group Logic will show automated file delivery and production automation for prepress workflows using new JDF support built into its MassTransit Enterprise product. Group Logic will also demonstrate an automated preflight solution that can increase quality and decrease turnaround time by integrating Enfocus’ Pitstop Server with MassTransit. Group Logic announced it will support Job Definition Format (JDF) in the next release of its MassTransit advanced file transfer and remote workflow solution. The digital delivery process, introduced in the JDF 1.2 specification, defines how jobs and their associated automation instructions are moved from point-to-point. The new JDF capabilities of MassTransit will implement this specification, allowing JDF instructions to automatically create MassTransit workflows for moving digital files from the content creator to prepress facility and for automatically inserting the files into prepress workflows. JMF messaging will be used for communication between MassTransit and the prepress software.  The JDF workflow and automated delivery from prepress to print are being demonstrated at Graph Expo.
